Cosmelan treatment treats uneven skin pigmentation by lightening dark spots and patches, controlling and preventing them from re-occurrence as long as possible.* The treatment targets skin pigment (melanin) producing enzymes to stop unwanted pigmentation at the source.*

During your consultation for Melasma treatment in Melbourne, our experienced clinician will thoroughly take you through your new Cosmelan pack, which includes a professional mask (to be applied in clinic), and all your home care Mesoestetic products including a cleanser, toner, moisturiser, pigmentation cream, hydrating cream, and sunscreen SPF 50+.

The mask will be applied by the clinician to cleansed skin, and is left on for up to 10 hours and then, following special instructions, easily removed at home.

This initial Cosmelan peel mask stimulates an inflammatory and peeling phase, whereby superficial pigmentation will shed off over the next two weeks. Simultaneously, the home care routine aids in treatment of deeper pigmentation, whilst also altering the structure and reactivity of the melanocytes (pigment producing cells).

This means that the skin will be less likely to produce a pigmentary response and therefore works as both a removal and preventative treatment.* This can be particularly beneficial with difficult to treat conditions such as Melasma, which often return after other treatments. Please note that avoidance of facial sun exposure is still highly recommended for optimal results.

We will organise frequent complimentary reviews to assess your progress, and once the homecare products are finished, you may re-introduce your normal skincare routine as recommended by your clinician. Everyone’s skin is different, and therefore a thorough assessment of your eligibility will be made through your complimentary consultation for Cosmelan in Melbourne.

Cosmelan treatment is designed for people wishing to even out their skin tone powerfully and effectively – no matter how light or dark.* The treatment reduces the appearance of:

  • Melasma*
  • Facial pigmentation due to hormonal fluctuations*
  • Pigmented scars, acne and freckles*
  • Uneven skin*

When administered by one of our fully trained professionals, the risks are minimal. However, you may experience the following side-effects up to two weeks after your Cosmelan peel treatment:

  • Redness
  • Peeling
  • Soreness
  • Dryness
  • Itching
  • Heightened sensitivity to the sun

Cosmelan treatment is a long-term depigmentation solution for your skin. But of course, everyone is different. That’s why we’ll recommend a personalised treatment program that’s suited to you.

The total cost of Cosmelan anti-pigmentation and anti-ageing treatment, including home care products, is $1,250
