What is the LightSheer Duet Diode Laser System?

How does it work?

We deliver a highly-concentrated beam of energy to your hair follicles via our advanced Light Sheer Duet diode laser technology. Once treated, this laser is able to dissolves and destroy most of the hair immediately – with the rest falling out within 14 days.* The treatment also impairs future hair regrowth which is another great advantage of Light Sheer Duet diode laser system.*

Most treatments take less than 30 minutes with visible results after the first treatment.*

The LightSheer Duet Diode laser works best on those with dark hair and fare to olive skin colour. (If you have light blonde or red hair, the Depilar System has been designed especially for you which is also available to us at the Instant Laser Clinic)
LightSheer may also not be suitable for you if you have:

A history of herpes
Recently bleached, plucked or waxed hair
Recently tanned skin

What are the side-effects?

The sensation of laser hair removal is often described as similar to the snap of a thin rubber band. Because of the advanced cooling technology of LightSheer, no anaesthesia creams are normally required and many patients report minimal discomfort.*

Your treatment area may become slightly red after the session. However, this will naturally resolve in a few minutes to several hours – depending on your skin sensitivity.*

What are the risks?

The LightSheer Duet Diode Laser treatment should be risk-free, as long as there is no skin diseases or infections present.*

Your practitioner will take a full medical history to evaluate your suitability.

How long does it last?

The effects of laser hair removal are long-lasting.* The treatment result, like other advanced lasers is designed to significantly alter the quality of the hair as well as to reduce the hair quantity.*

Hair regrowth can be managed with follow-up treatments once every 6-12 months.*

How many treatments will I need?

For treatment areas above the neck we usually recommend eight sessions with 4 week intervals between each session. Longer intervals of 6-8 weeks are recommended for the body area.

However, everyone’s skin is different. That’s why we’ll assess your skin and hair colour to give you a realistic expectation of your outcome.

How much does it cost?

LightSheer Duet Diode laser treatment requires a series of sessions to ensure permanent hair reduction. The prices below are based on our recommendation of eight treatments for best results.

Please note: Treatment sessions must be done consecutively without any large gap between appointments. Schedule a prepaid package of eight consecutive sessions to receive a 10% discount.
