At Instant Laser Clinic, we use a specific type of fat sculpting or fat dissolving solution that is approved by FDA, containing a synthetic active ingredient called deoxycholic acid.

 

Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat.

 

When injected into the fat beneath the chin, the fat dissolving solution destroys the fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction of fullness under the chin.

 

Once destroyed by fat dissolving injections, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, so further treatment is not expected once you achieve your desired goal.

Anyone of healthy weight who wants to contour their jawline and minimise the appearance of a double chin by removing the submental fullness.

At each treatment, you will receive multiple small fat dissolving injections under your chin. The number will depend on the amount of fat you would like dissolved and your desired profile. The treatment will take between 15 to 20 minutes.

 

After your treatment, you are likely to suffer from some swelling, bruising or numbness under your chin. If you suffer from any of the following side effects, you must contact us straight away:

  • Facial muscle weakness
  • Difficulty swallowing
  • Open sores
